Ok so both of these tabs are your templates for what you can send.

S.Template is for all the text which would be on your transmitted image
S.Pix is the actual image you send.. or the background image that the S.Template text is overlayed onto.

The reason you cannot find any .mtm files is that you wont have made any. think of this as you could save them from someone else’s MMSSTV on their PC and then load them into yours. If you don’t have any of these saved then you need to edit or create the template in the program using the Template Tab at the top.

The easiest way to add S.Pix is to just drag and drop a picture from where ever you have it saved on your PC onto one of the empty squares on the S.Pix tab

Can you confirm what you mean by download pictures. If you mean to save the pictures you have received then if you go on the History tab and right click the image you have the option to save the a location of your choice.

Not directly familiar with your radio but I run the Icom 7300.

Yes, usually you would set it to -D when wanting to use a data mode but this depends on how your radio is set up. Switching between None -D & -D is used to switch the audio inputs and outputs of the radio.

In your radio settings you should find settings where you can set the audio inputs for both -D (Data Mode) and None -D (Normal Mode). You may also be able to set the audio out for each mode also EG. Normal, internal speaker only. Data Mode Internal speaker and USB.

For example on my setup Normal Mode is set to only take an input from the microphone input and Data Mode is only set to take an input from the USB Soundcard. I can set either to both if I wanted but you risk also transmitting mic audio at the same time as the USB audio doing this.

Yes you should adjust the audio level to be just below the ALC. So turn it up until you see something on the ALC meter and then turn it down just enough to stop it. Your main test will be to ensure you are putting power out as this will confirm the audio is getting from your pc to the radio with it being USB.

I’ve got an Icom 7410. I’ve got a USB cable connected to the radio into my laptop using the Yoniq MMSSTV software. It’s controlled by using Omnirig.

The radio TX when you click on the TX button in the software, and I can decode images fine when set to 14.230 USB, however if I set the radio to USB-D the images won’t load properly. I was told that I need to set the radio to USB-D for TX, but does this need to be set the same for RX of SSTV?

I’ve turned off Compression, ALC is not showing at all when TX, but I don’t appear to be receiving any CQ responses.

The Compressor should be OFF. As with other digital and data modes the signal should be as unmodified as possible.
