A Full Year completed, Biking 2025

So after getting the full licence in September of 2024. That only gave me a short time until the winter weather set in. So in the early months of 2025 we began the first full year on the Z650!

The First major ride out of the year with the crew was to sunny Hunstanton in early March. 186 mile round trip but with it still being early in the year still as soon as the sun started to set it got bitterly cold!

After a number of local ride outs. The next major one was a great ride up to Whitby. Now into April it was starting to get a bit warmer make it the perfect temperature. 226 miles all in all.

Next up was the first planned holiday trip of the year. The end of April was again great weather making the trip much more enjoyable.

So this time we were out to the Peak District, staying the night and then heading back.

This trip wasn’t without issues. A seized clutch cable and a lack of stock in most local bike garages lead to a fun clutch less ride to derby where the guys at Derby Kawasaki were an amazing help.

May was a good month as I was joined on my adventures for the first time. More trips planned in the future.

After a number of local rides we get to June where a spontaneous 222 mile ride happened in the day.

A fun day encountering all sort of roads including a freshly re-dressed one which we had to follow for miles!

Throughout the year we bent to a few bike nights including, Boston, Barton, East Kirkby and some local ones around the county.

We finally make it to July, and a return Holiday trip to the Peak District. This time to celebrate a Hen Party. I know I got invited, but it was the original 4 of our group going.

Next up was a rearranged holiday trip down to Oxfordshire. The original plan was to head up to the Lakes to do the Hardknott Pass. But due to in coming bad weather we headed the other direction. This was a new one for us as this time we were camping so had to strap our tents to the bikes for the journey there and back.

Back to local trips and some rides out to some of the biker cafe’s like Squires and Zoom before a final trip out on December 10th before the winter weather finally arrived. Some clips from the year are on my TikTok.
